Hi, my name is Nicole Seitz.

First, I am a Christ-follower. My faith drives everything I do. I'm married to Brian Seitz and we have two amazing children at Clemson University. I teach visual arts, creative writing and illustration to grades 5-12 in a local Christian school. I'm also the author/illustrator of 10 highly-acclaimed novels - The Firstborn: House of Heaventree Book 1, The Virus: House of Heaventree Book 2, The Remnant: House of Heaventree Book 3 (coming soon!), The Cage-maker, Beyond Molasses Creek, The Inheritance of Beauty, Saving Cicadas, A Hundred Years of Happiness, Trouble the Water, and The Spirit of Sweetgrass - and the editor of two award-winning nonfiction books, When You Pass Through Waters: Words of Hope and Healing from Your Favorite Authors and Our Prince of Scribes: Writers Remember Pat Conroy (coeditor).

As a freelancer, I've been a fiction editor and cover designer for The Ocean at Night by Lorna Hollifield and Under the Influence by Hilary Rose Bodiford. Other books I've illustrated or designed include: When You Pass Through Waters anthology, Bonbon with the Wind by Dorothy St. James, The Pulpwood Queens Celebrate 20 Years by Susan Cushman, Bible Prophecy and the End Times by Charles H. Evans, Sleepy Valley by Tim Callahan, Finding Deep and Wide Workbook by Shellie Rushing Tomlinson. Most recently, I illustrated a children's book by Bonnie Doane, The Best Neighborhood Nativity Pageant Ever. I've even ghostwritten a non-fiction basketball memoir!

I earned a Journalism and Mass Communication degree from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and also a degree in Illustration from Savannah College of Art & Design. In my spare time I read my Bible, draw, paint and enter painting competitions. Visit my web site at www.nicoleseitz.com for more information about my work and adult novels.
